GIVING PHILOSOPHY
GENEROSITY
Generosity is how we express our gratefulness to God for His saving grace in our lives, and it’s also how we help fund the vision of Enjoy Church. When you live openhanded, freely giving as the Lord leads you, you help us reach more people with the love of Jesus. Your generosity helps us do more to bring people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus, and there is simply no greater impact that we could make together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We are blown away by what God is allowing us to do because of your partnership with us in the mission God has given us. We simply would not be able to reach the people we do without your continued tithing and giving.
We strive to remain transparent in all our financial dealings. If you have any questions about our proposed budget, or about the annually performed external audit of our finances, our Accounting Department can help you. Email us anytime at info@enjoychurch.com, or call (618) 465-5433.
FAQ'S
Never. We do receive an offering at our services, but there’s never, ever any pressure to give—especially for visitors. No guilt trips, no squeezing. Enjoy Church is supported financially by people who’ve cheerfully chosen to make it their church home. Giving is a form of worship, not a form of torture.
You can login to your giving profile at any time to see how much you’ve given.
One of our goals is to “live openhandedly.” We believe that God has blessed Enjoy Church because we’ve followed two principles from the beginning—first, we see ourselves as a pipeline God can use to bless His people through; second, we see money as a tool to help accomplish God’s will on the earth. It was His to start with, and we are managers of the money He has entrusted in us.
We consider tithing an important part of walking out our faith, as what we do with our money almost always reflects the condition of our hearts.
In the Old Testament, it was established that the Israelites were required to bring 10% of their income (or a “tithe”) to the temple. The New Testament suggests a similar, but voluntary pattern—Paul says in I Corinthians 16:1-2 that believers should regularly set aside a portion of their income to support the church. The exact amount isn’t stated, but we see the 10% figure as a good benchmark. For this reason, we encourage everyone to tithe, not just for funding the mission of their local church, but also as a way to exercise their faith and trust in God’s promises to them.
Also, you are not required to tithe to attend Enjoy Church, or even to become a member. However, we believe that tithing is closely tied to our heart condition as we walk out our faith. As such, we do consider a person’s giving habits when considering them for positions of leadership or possible employment.
It’s the financial generosity of the people in our community that fuels the incredible life change that we experience around here. Our support comes from many individual contributions and offerings, including the tithes and offerings of our members and regular attenders.
We’re committed to full financial integrity, and we employ a system of strict internal controls when it comes to handling financial gifts. We also have an external audit, performed on an annual basis, from the independent CPA firm of Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson (you can request a copy of this report to view how the money given to Enjoy Church is well managed).
In a church setting, releasing income information could lead to misunderstandings among staff members and the congregation. People might make value assessments without being privy to performance reviews and other criteria that we use to set a salary. However, you can trust our leaders and compensation board to make wise decisions.
We survey similar churches across the country to see what similar staff positions pay. Then we weigh in the cost of living in the area, the individual’s job performance, and the overall faithfulness and fruitfulness of each staff member. Across the board, our staff compensation is in line with, and in some cases below, that of comparably sized churches.
Any leftover money not used during the fiscal year in which it is received is put back into the General Fund for the following year.

90-DAY TITHING CHALLENGE
90-Day Tithing Challenge
The Bible encourages us to give cheerfully and generously. As followers of God, we are instructed to set aside the tithe, which is the first 10% of our income, for God’s purposes; anything given beyond that first 10% is considered an offering.
If you’re ready to deepen your walk with God by trusting Him with your finances, we invite you to take the 90-Day Tithing Challenge!
Commit to tithing by bringing the first 10% of your income to Enjoy Church over the next 90 days. At the end of this period, if you haven't experienced God’s blessings or provision because of your obedience, you can request a full refund of what you’ve given to Enjoy Church during that time. It’s a money-back guarantee you can’t beat!
5 COMMON OBJECTIONS TO THE 90-DAY TITHE CHALLENGE
Tithing is established in the Old Testament and reaffirmed in the New Testament. Jesus commands us to “not neglect” the tithe (Matthew 23:23), and the New Testament encourages Christians to give generously. Tithing, modeled by Abraham (Genesis 14:19-20) and taught throughout the Bible, is both a principle and a practice that continues beyond the Law.
Enjoy Church is committed to financial accountability and transparency. We have multiple layers of oversight, including financial, pastoral, and business boards, and our finances are audited annually by an independent firm. Trust in God with your finances involves faith that we will steward them according to our mission.
We believe you can’t afford NOT to tithe. Tithing is a step of faith where God promises to bless the remaining 90% of your income. It’s not about immediate ease but trusting God to provide as you follow His financial principles. While budgeting and wise spending are still necessary, many have found that tithing leads to blessings beyond finances.
It’s wonderful to share your gifts, but God calls us to surrender every aspect of our lives, including finances. Jesus said money reflects our heart’s condition, and tithing demonstrates our complete trust in Him.
Supporting charities is commendable, but tithing to your local church aligns with biblical principles. The church is the body of Christ and the primary organization Jesus established to carry out His mission on earth. Giving to charities should be above and beyond your tithe.
EC PROJECTS
THE HOUSE
Goal $225,000
Welcome to The House. In this house we see connection, we see life change and we see miracles happen. While the lives that we touch reach into eternity, we must also take time to care for the physical needs of the house.
Your investment into the vision and ministry of Enjoy Church will help us take care of the house so that we can reach more people.
“I am amply supplied, now that I have received the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:18-19
